I'm James DeSimone.
I have been collecting G I Joe 25 years. Hasbro once honored me with a beautiful hand made custom GI Joe in my likness naming him/me as
"G I Joe’s #1 fan".
At one time I was licensed by Hasbro and organized the official club and produced the official conventions. But Hasbro choose to set the course of 12" GIJoe on a destructive path leading to his cancelation in 2005. As a collector of vintage GIJoe, what Hasbro does has no bareing on our hobby. The key word is vintage. After all, our goal as collectors it to obtain items that are in some cases 40+ years old and Hasbro simply cant help us do that.

I have many exciting ideas for this site. I want it to be as interactive as possible. Your suggestions are welcome and needed.
The military term G I Joe took on a whole new meaning as a toy to countless boys in the 60’s. Today, children do not know Joe as we did. If Hasbro would have heard and listened to the suggestions of collectors back in 1991, there would be no competition worth speaking of to draw collectors away form their loyalty to G I Joe.
In the year 2006, "G I Joe" is now thought of as a general term for a variety of military type figures in the hobby of G I Joe collecting. This web site will primarily concentrate on G I Joe of the 64-94, with links to sites for other G I Joe type action figures.

I am working on you being able to view every individual item in each of my 3 books. You will then be able to e-mail me with information you may know or want to contribute and share with us. That information will be placed in the picture for all to read. If you do not have my G I Joe guides, I urge you to obtain them. Check out the Supply Depot link on the welcome page of our site. The thing that gives me the most pride is that collectors use these books, and wear them out in the process.
I have 1000’s of pages of G I Joe information from 1964 through the present in my collection which I will eventually share on a site. You are welcome to submit what you want to share and fill in any missing links.
You will be able to follow the history of our hobby as a collectible and those men and women instrumental in its foundation and survival. I have written 200 newsletters in the past 20 years accounting for the events of the time.
There are many other surprises that will eventually be added to this site.
